It’s Day 3 in St. Louis and I’ve completely forgotten about Mérida. I’m not thinking of Mérida at all, and it’s never entering my mind that today is a critical day in the purchase of our home. We need one more signature to go forward. Without it, we’re sunk.
But I’m not thinking of that. I’m at the gateway to the American West, and I’ve got lot of people to meet, and I have to devote my time to workshops and socializing with my peers. We have a great lineup of industry professionals who influence our field. I’m also on the board that runs this event, and believe me, these events don’t run themselves.
Oh, and I’m meeting person who’s building a home in Mérida today at noon, at the base of the arch. I can’t wait to meet her. You might already know her. Her name is Pat. Stay tuned.
Of course, I’m not sure what we’re going to talk about since I’m definitely not obsessing over Mérida, or thinking about a stranger’s signature that means I’m going forward or backward on this little game of chutes and ladders.
Update: We had such a wonderful afternoon! We met as planned, then met for coffee, which became lunch. So much to talk about. And such fun meeting.
Hi Lee, I think you can relax… I hear that all will be well. Soon your long wait will be over and what is meant to be… will be.
